How to Set Up Your New Email Domain on Mxsec Server

If you acquire a new domain to use for email services, there are two simple ways to configure it:

Option 1

Mxsec Manages Your DNS Recommended

Simply instruct your domain registrar to point your domain’s nameservers to Mxsec. We take care of all email configurations and server routing from there.

  • Website Hosting: If you host a website on the same domain elsewhere, provide us with your web host’s IP address, and we will map the web records accordingly.
  • Ownership & Renewals: You retain full ownership of the domain and remain responsible for domain renewal fees directly with your registrar.
Option 2

You Manage Your Own DNS

Prefer to keep your DNS zone managed through your current registrar or third-party DNS provider?

Please refer to our technical configuration guide:

How to Activate Your New Email Account

  1. Check Your Inbox
Look for an activation email sent to your contact address containing your new email credentials and a temporary password.
  2. Log In to Webmail
Go to webmail.mxsec.org and log in using your new email address and temporary password.
  3. Set a New Password
On your first login, you will be automatically prompted to create a new, secure password.
  4. Start Using Webmail
Once your password is updated, your webmail account is active and ready to use.

  • Security / Encryption: STARTTLS
  • Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username / Password: Full email address & your new password
